Chairman's Welcome Address
2nd Memorial Scholarship Award Ceremony in honour of Late Barr. Clement Oye Akintola Arikawe
Distinguished guests, respected leaders, members of the Akintola Arikawe family, esteemed educators, dear students, ladies and gentlemen,
It is my honour and privilege to warmly welcome you all to this auspicious occasion—the 2nd Memorial Scholarship Award Ceremony held in loving memory of a remarkable man, Late Barrister Clement Oye Akintola Arikawe.
Today, we gather not in sorrow, but in celebration of a life well lived, a life defined by service, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the advancement of education and community development. His legacy continues to speak, not merely in words, but in impactful actions such as this noble scholarship initiative.
I commend the Triple Cure Foundation and the entire Arikawe family for sustaining this vision. By investing in the education of our young people, you are not only preserving his memory, but also shaping the future he so passionately believed in. Indeed, education remains the most powerful tool for transformation, and today's beneficiaries stand as living proof of that enduring truth.
To our dear students, I congratulate you. This award is both a recognition of your hard work and a call to greater responsibility. I encourage you to remain diligent, focused, and guided by the values of excellence and character that this scholarship represents.
To our distinguished guests and partners, I thank you for your presence and continued support. Your participation adds great value to this event and reinforces our shared commitment to youth development and societal progress.
As we proceed with today's programme, it is my hope that we will all be inspired not only by the memory of the man we honour, but by the possibilities that lie ahead for these young scholars.
Once again, I welcome you all and wish us a successful and memorable ceremony.
Thank you, and God bless.
